All fans of the Harry Potter books, and not only, I propose to try to make their own white owl–brooch Hedwig from polymer clay.
To create a brooch-owl, you’ll need:
acrylic colors: black, white and yellow
polymer clay 2 colors: white, corporeal
A special pin for brooches
Making a brooch made of polymer clay
First mold out of white clay 2 pieces 2-3 mm thick. This will be the wing and body of your owl.
Fix the part of the wing to the body and add the oval polymer clay skin color (it will muzzle birds).
Now fashion a 2 small cakes of white clay and highlight them in small black–bead eyes.
With round stack selling muzzle from above and below, as shown in the photo.
In groove add a small triangle – it will be the beak owlet. Thick needle scratched ornament feathers on the wing and muzzle.
Likewise scratched pattern around the contour of the brooch.
Then add the little details like a drop – it Hedwig’s feathers. Add one leg, as shown in the photo.
With a thick needle Draw feathers. Here you can show imagination to the maximum and to experiment with patterns.
To crush pastel chalk to knife and apply a thin brush on the brooch, indicating shadows and highlights. How bake brooch you can see on instructions shown on the packaging of your polymer clay. Then washed with soap it and brooch dried.
Attach a safety pin to the already baked brooch with a small flat piece of clay. Cut the shape scratched ornament. Re-bake.
Use acrylic. White acrylic – for paint ornament. Yellow acrylic – for eyes of an owl.
Now use the black acrylic paint and draw beak brooch on a path (optional) and eyes. Also optional is possible to add some items to your taste.
Brooch owl is ready!
